STATEMENT from Essex Police. We remain on the scene of a serious collision on the A414 towards Ongar.

Officers were called to the incident, near the junction of Radley Green Road, at around 7.10am this morning.

A road closure is in place and is expected to remain in place for some time.

Recognising the disruption that may be caused, we thank the public for their patience while emergency services respond to this incident.

We will endeavour to provide an update as soon as we possibly can.
