ST Edmund’s College in Ware is thrilled to be celebrating an outstanding year of A Level achievements, with the ‘Class of 2025’ delivering some of the school’s best ever results, reflecting the hard work of pupils and staff.
Across St Edmund’s there are numerous individual success stories, with many pupils achieving the very highest grades. Alex L secured 4 x A* grades and a place at Cambridge to read Natural Sciences while Scarlett G achieved 3 x A*. Two pupils gained places to read Medicine, including Jemima U, who along with Scarlett started their St Edmund’s journey 16 years ago in St Edmund’s Prep School.

Special congratulations also go to Tom C, Harvey K, Abisah P, Eva W, Emma D, Felix H and Nikol H, who achieved all A and A* grades.
In parallel, St Edmund’s celebrates the many pupils whose hard work and support from their teachers ensured that they achieved beyond expectations. This year St Edmund’s pupils have gained success in a wide range of subjects and access to many prestigious university destinations including Cambridge, Durham, Warwick, Kings College London and Edinburgh as well as many other Russell Group universities and American universities such as the highly competitive Cornell University.

This year’s leavers are heading off to read subjects including Law, Engineering, Medicine, International Relations, Natural Sciences and English Literature. In addition, pupils have been offered competitive Degree Apprenticeships such as with Amazon.
Headmaster Matthew Mostyn praised the achievements of the A Level class of 2025: “We are absolutely thrilled with this year’s results. The determination, curiosity and resilience of our students has been outstanding, and it’s been a privilege to witness their growth during their time at St Edmund’s. They have set the bar high – not just academically, but in their values and aspirations. I’d like to offer my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated teaching staff, who consistently go above and beyond to bring out the best in each individual pupil. Praise is also due to the parents and guardians who have supported their children so wholeheartedly throughout the journey. This is a day of well-earned celebration – and we look forward to watching our young people go on to make their mark on the world.”
St Edmund’s is a World-Class High-Performance Learning (HPL) school. Teaching at the school follows an evidence-based framework that helps students develop advanced cognitive performance characteristics alongside specific values, attitudes and attributes.
Together, these provide a strong foundation for academic and lifetime success. The school’s broader academic intake is rooted in Catholic values, but its holistic education ensures that all pupils are encouraged to reach for the very best grades whilst developing important leadership and soft skills that ensure they will succeed at university and in the workplace.
