Will be good for Harlow
For those interested, membership is an eye-watering £199 per month. They offer a family deal that works out at £400 per month. Mental. This is for the "Platinum" membership...I'm not sure if they offer "standard working class" or "skint" memberships, their website doesn't say. But I doubt it.
Hundred and ninety nine pound a month who can afford that
I’m sure it’s 5 members are excited. Jokes aside, I’d be embarrassed to tell anyone if I had a membership 😂
Changed my mind , perhaps not so good for Harlow
So Harlow should not welcome new & exciting opportunities? Some can’t afford it, some can. Same for everything in life Harlow should be in a race to the top, not the bottom This is about more choice & exceptional facilities. Not everyone in Harlow is skint.
If you can’t afford then join a gym where you can simple, the amount of money spent is to offer quality services and DL want to attract a certain type of clientele, that enjoy, respect, participate and feel like it’s there second home, it’s a success story no way about it, criticism doesn’t do anything to the future plans and current business opportunities and employment opportunities, yes unfortunately some can’t afford that’s life, Harlow has needed a rejuvenation but still has lower class status and has a large low income people, I grew up in Harlow and frankly described it as a dump, it is in some areas, like loads of towns, this is an opportunity for people and families in particular from bishop stortford, Epping, Loughton, sawbo, surrounding villages to come and use great facilities and spend every day there if they can, and they will, DL doesn’t want to offer cheap and cheerful membership packages, for the skint, pure gym and the gym are available and parks tennis courts are free, PT sessions and tennis lessons will be £45/£50 per hr in most cases, I’d say each member will be spending on average £5500-£6000 a year for the use of all the facilities and add ons, second spend etc,
I cannot wait for it to open. I got mine for 168 a month. 40 quid a week. Most people spend that on take aways and booze. Each weekend!!! So yeah some can afford it. If you can go to JD gym
Haha... Exactly just what the town needs. An exclusive private members club, all yours for as little as £199 pm! It's a joke ...
If it’s anything like the Enfield DL branch where I am a member, membership where by mostly of the Albanian variety and those sprouting ankle tag bulges under their socks. I.e those with ample disposable cash.
I've spent most of my life in gyms, and no longer want to train with sweaty oiks and swim in a pool filled with the urine from the local kids; I'm willing and able to pay for that, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Can those of us that don't really want to live here have something decent for once?
