Harlow man banned for a year after drug driving in The Readings

A HARLOW resident has been banned after drug driving in Harlow.
Michael Chalmers, aged 53, of The Readings, Harlow pled guilty at Chelmsford Magistrates court.

On September 15th, 2025 drove a Hyundai Accent in The Readings, when the proportion of a controlled drug, namely Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol, in your blood namely 6.2, exceeded the specified limit.
Chalmers was disqualified for twelve months and fined £120.00
Obligatory disqualification – Disqualification period: 12 Months. Fine – Amount of fine: £120.00. Guilty plea taken into account
Drug driving and a year's ban. Pathetic sentence.
