IT could be that one of the great sporting successes in Harlow will be the opening of the Advanced Cricket and Batting Academy off Edinburgh Way in Harlow.

For most players, the season ends in September and the there is a long period of no cricket.

Can you imagine any other sport with a six month close season?

But since the opening of the ACBA, young players such as Jack and Miller (see interviews below) have been able to develop their batting, bowling and even their wicket-keeping at the centre.

There are clubs from all around the area visiting. Lat week, we saw players from North Weald, Harlow, Matching and Sawbridgeworth to name just four.

Of course, the proof will be in the spring and summer.
