HARDY Manaf of Corporation Street, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Monday 9 March where he was placed on the Sex Offenders Register.

The 44-year-old will be required to register with the police in accordance with the Sexual Offences Act 2003 after he admitted exposing himself to the occupants of a car leaving a Stansted Airport car park.

During the incident on 25 June last year, CCTV operators were alerted to Manaf acting in a disorderly manner, throwing items at road signs and posts, prior to his arrest.

Hardy Manaf was arrested on warrant on 19 February after he failed to attend a previous hearing and he was remanded into custody to appear in court on 9 March.

He was also fined £90, more than £200 costs and will be subject to a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement.

Sergeant Mark Ghosh who works at the airport said: “This outcome sends a clear message: sexual offending will not be tolerated. The court’s decision to place him on the Sex Offenders Register ensures he is closely monitored in the future and subject to strict legal requirements designed to protect the public.

“We hope this provides reassurance that we will continue to act decisively against those who pose a risk to the community.”
