HARLOW charity, Rainbow Services, was delighted to host its third annual Prom Event on 18 April at The Link. The event gave young people the opportunity to select a prom outfit, free of charge, with the option to make a small donation if they wished, helping to remove financial barriers to attending their school prom while also promoting sustainability by giving preloved outfits a second life.

Dresses, suits and accessories were generously donated by residents of Harlow and the surrounding areas, and the event was made possible thanks to the generous funding provided by Jewson. The day was also a success due to the fantastic support of Rainbow Services’ staff and volunteers, who gave their time to organise outfits, welcome attendees, provide a photo opportunity, and ensure the event ran smoothly.
Sharon Summerfield, CEO of Rainbow Services, said: “We are incredibly proud to deliver our third annual prom event and to see so many young people leave feeling confident and excited about attending their prom. We are very grateful to Jewson, our volunteers, and the residents of Harlow who help make this happen.”
Rainbow Services would like to extend a massive thank you to everyone who contributed to making the event such a success and looks forward to continuing this muchloved project in the years to come.
