A FIREFIGHTER is seeing “more and more” obstructive parking when responding to emergencies reports the BBC.

On Wednesday, Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said tackling a house fire was made “even more difficult” by double-parked cars on the street.

What do you expect when you over populate a small town, these extra cars have to park somewhere ,, hailing hill / pittmans field is horrendous just to name one
Tim Smith a simple answer to your stupid comment.. You park elsewhere then. You've got legs so you walk simple. If these guys need to get to a fire you MOVE your car simple as that. You don't come first. peoples safety come first. Please leave and keep your stupid comments to yourself.
There's plenty of off street parking in Halling Hill, recently built by the council. The simple answer is to enforce laws around obstruction and inconsiderate parking.
Tim, if you need parking then buy a house with a driveway. While it is true that a lot of the estates are badly designed with no off-street parking, but on other estates house have driveways to hold two cars but then add another two cars on the road as well! If you need space for four cars, get a property that meets you needs.
First get rid of all the untaxed, no mot uninsured cars that are blocking up hundreds of parking spaces then things would automatically be better.
