Circus “Globe of Death” posters still litter the town

LAST week, the organisers of the Santus Circus made an announcement that they would be making efforts to remove the words “Globe of Death” from their posters.
They were doing this as the circus is based at the Harlow Showground, the site where Summer Grant died after a bouncy castle she was playing in blew away.
But since they made the announcment, posters with “Globe of Death” have continued to litter the town.
A number of posters appeared in the Water Gardens car park. YH spoke to staff, who told us that they did not have permission and took them immediately.
Other adverts appeared to have been “fly-posted” in Bush Fair and at the ClockTower roundabout.
An advert for the “Globet of Death” is still on the internet page of a local newsaper.
YH spoke to press spokesperson. He said: “The circus people have already obliterated the word ‘death’ on many of their posters. I will contact them to request that, now they have arrived in Harlow, they take a further look.
“You’ll have read their previous statement asking those shopkeepers who’ve been kind enough to display posters in their windows to cross out the word if they feel their customers may be upset by it.
YH has contacted Harlow Council for a response.
