Lifestyle / Thu 26th Apr 2018 at 04:07pm

ON Saturday 21 April the Rotary Club of Harlow Tye, in association with the Stroke Association, held a Know Your Blood Pressure Day on the main floor of the Harvey Centre, Harlow.

Members of the Rotary Club invited members of the general public to have a free blood pressure check. Nurses from the Rivers Hospital, Sawbridgeworth, working in their free time carried out the testing; we thank Caroline Galloway, Guseppino Siracusa and Carol Weymouth.

On the day 238 people were tested, 18% were requested to have a further test within the next month, 12% to visit their GP in the next week and one gentleman was advised to visit the hospital right away.

Each of the nurses was presented with a bouquet of flowers as a thank you for their hard work over the day.

The Rotary Club also thanks Bryan Young, the Harvey Centre Manager and his staff for their help and co-operation before and on the day.

The accompanying photograph shows Rotarian Chris Harriss and the three nurses with their bouquet of flowers.
