New Councillor thanks the residents of Toddbrook Ward
Dear Sir and Madam,
Following being elected onto the Council on Thursday night, I would like to extend my gratitude to the residents of Toddbrook Ward who voted for me, I am very grateful for their support.
I feel honoured to have the opportunity to put my values of honesty, integrity and respect, into the community I have lived in and served as a retired Civil Servant. These values will follow me into the Council Chamber to ensure the residents of Toddbrook’s concerns are represented.
I am delighted to work with Councillor Phil Waite and Councillor Tony Edwards in the Toddbrook ward to continue the work of my predecessor, Karen Clempner. I enjoyed meeting residents in Toddbrook and getting to know the diversity of the ward including attending community events at the Jewish Synagogue and the Salvation Army.
The by-election for Toddbrook, followed the successful wins in the Bush Fair and Netteswell by-elections in November and stands in testament to a great team of Labour supporters in our community; despite the very cold temperatures when delivering leaflets and knocking on doors.
Once again, heartfelt thanks to all and I look forward to my new role as Councillor where the hard work will begin.
