ESSEX firefighters were called to assist at the scene of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on Elizabeth Way on Friday.

Fire crews removed the roof of one vehicle to enable the casualty to be removed carefully.

The casualty was left in the care of the Ambulance Service by 1:25pm.
