Good news for families, good news for everyone – new inclusive playground for all in Harlow Town Park

HARLOW Council has announced that work will begin on Tuesday (29 January 2019) on the construction of the new inclusive playground at the bottom of The Showground in the Town Park.

The playground is for families of all ages and abilities including children and adults with special needs and disabilities.

Funding for the play area has been secured from Essex County Council’s shortbreaks fund with match funding from Harlow Council.

The plans were developed in consultation with local groups including Upwards with Downs and St. Elizabeth’s Centre as well as council staff who work with local families. The playground will have 30 different pieces of equipment.

Construction work is expected to last until the end of March. The Council says once completed this promises to be a superb addition to the Town Park.
