Local builder subject of fraud investigation over home improvements not completed

Essex Police have told YH that there are taking no further action in relation to this allegation.
YH understands that this is now being treated as a civil matter.

A LOCAL builder is the subject of a criminal investigation centring on extension work not completed at a home.
YH understands that the company being investigated is A and S Home Extensions Limited based in Matching Tye and run by Steve Bone.
An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We received a report on Tuesday 9 July from a man reporting he had been a victim of fraud.
A man reported that he paid another man a six-figure sum of cash for work to his property in Ongar, which was never started.
The man reported he made the payments between 9 March and 28 May this year.
