Church Langley man in court over allegation he attempted to meet twelve-year-old girl for sex

A CHURCH Langley man has appeared in court on charges that he attempted to communicate with a twelve-year-old child for sexual purposes.

Terence Clarke, aged 72, of Burley Hill, Harlow has been charged with the following.

Between 10/09/2017 and 02/11/2017 at Harlow being a person aged 18 or over, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, intentionally attempted to communicate with a child “Grace Harrison” aged 12, a person under 16 who you did not reasonably believe to be 16 or over, the communication being sexual.

Between 02/06/2012 and 10/01/2018 at Harlow made an indecent photograph of a child, namely 5 Category A images.

Between 02/06/2012 and 10/01/2018 at Harlow made an indecent photograph of a child, namely 7 Category B images.

Between 02/06/2012 and 10/01/2018 at Harlow made an indecent photograph of a child, namely 15 Category C images.

Clarke’s case has been adjourned to Wednesday January 22nd at Chelmsford Magistrates Court in order to hear a plea.
