Harlow MP Robert Halfon urges government to extend free school meals over summer holidays

HARLOW MP Robert Halfon has been “doing the rounds” on both national television and radio this morning to re-iterate his message to the government that they should extend the free school meals scheme over the summer holidays.
Mr Halfon wrote to Vicky Ford MP, the minister for children and families on June 5th.
This morning Mr Halfon has stressed that “This is an extremely important issue and one that I have been working on for many weeks. I am lobbying the Government on this and will continue to do so.”

Conservative MPs will have a chance to register their unease on Tuesday afternoon when the Labour party holds a Commons debate.
