LAST week, we reported that a Harlow fitness instructor was set to take on a tough 100 mile cycling challenge for charity.
But Lee Jessey had to stop after 80 miles due to torrential rain.
However, Lee is set to take it on again this weekend.
Lee Jessey said: “On Sunday 16th August 2020 I was due to be cycling 100 miles through London and Surrey before ending back on The Mall to raise awareness and funds for Diabetes UK.
With this event just being cancelled I decided to still cycle 100 miles on Sunday 16th August from Harlow to Blakeney in Norfolk.
As you can see form the photos, the weather was horrendous and I had to abandon after 82.5 miles.
But I am going to try again. I hope people can help me raise funds for my cause.
“As a Type 1 Diabetic myself l know first hand the issues that this condition can cause. Although Diabetes UK already do a great deal to discover new treatments and to raise awareness for this condition that effects over 400 million people worldwide… every little extra helps!
“This will be a gruelling ride and an equally gruelling training regime..so any donation will be massively appreciated!
“Thank you so much for your support and donations”.
