A police spokesperson said: “We have received a number of calls from concerned members of the public this evening, following a large car meet, consisting of around 80 vehicles.

The reports have included incidents of anti-social behaviour and excessive noise levels around The Oaks retail park in Harlow.
“To reduce disruption to the residents of Harlow, a dispersal order has been put in place, covering areas including River Way, Old Harlow, Church Langley and Harlow Town Centre.
“It starts at 11.15pm on Sunday 24 December and will remain in place until 6am on Monday 25 December”.
Clamp every single vehicle involved, then crush all of them and send the cost of towing and crushing to the owner along with a 500% markup as a punitive charge. About time this Conservative party got tough on crime like they always claim.
Gotta be either made illegal and upheld or places open up for these idiots to muck around, away from good road users who wish to remain safe... They are a menace on our roads and on the M11.
Rather than alienate people with a blanket ban maybe the police could engage with the car community, by all means deal with those who break the law, respect is earned not given
Clearly, these menacing car folks have no respect for residents nearby and other road users. Otherwise no one would have reported them.
