STRONGER than expected growth at the start of the year saw the UK emerge from recession reports the BBC.

The economy grew by 0.6% between January and March, the fastest rate for two years, official figures showed.
The UK fell into recession at the end of last year after shrinking for two three-month periods in a row.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said the economy had “turned a corner”, but Labour said this was no time for a “victory lap”.

I wouldn’t believe a word sunak says.
Well, we should not have been in one in the first place, Sunak should take the glory for that too.
If so. Why is GDP per capita still falling, which means we are all getting poorer. GDP per capita( person) is the only way to measure if we are getting richer or poorer. Overall gdp does not take population into account
Then come 5 years of Liebour....spend all the money on the entitled public sector workers and back come the conservatives to sort out the mess....
The Harlow Palestine Solidarity Campaign had a gloating post on their FB about their 'success' with getting the event cancelled. The Pride group cancelled because they felt intimated and threatened.. that is hatred and illegal. The Harlow Palestine Solidarity Campaign have now removed that post, maybe they were advised to do so. Best thing would have been to report it to the Police as soon as it happened, and also to advise the Police of any events in future where there could be friction, they should not have to do that, but it seems that's the best thing. Of course we acknowledge all the suffering that's going on, but don't intimidate innocent people here in Harlow who were just trying to have a fun event.
Psmith, you're amusing. More debt now, and some more under 14 years of tory than ever by labour. And absolutely nothing to show for it, no working well NHS, roads a mess, schools a mess, no dentists, the list is endless. Masses of debt just to line their mates pockets.
I can't wait to be rolling in it!
