HARLOW Cricket Clubs young twins, Alfie and George Jessey represented their school, Bishops Stortford High in the annual cricket match verses the MCC. This is an extremely prestigious cricket match for schools when the MCC visit.

Both stood out with good individual performances in a drawn match. Alfie was considered ‘the man of the match’ and awarded an MCC ‘Spirit of Cricket’ cap for his performance.

The MCC play well over four hundred ‘out matches’ each summer, sometimes as much as over a dozen on the same day! School cricket is encouraged and they play dozens of schools all over the country. Many in this region.
To top that, Alfie and George both played for Harlow 1st XI at the weekend in a convincing victory against Barking CC.
