ON Sunday, Tye Green Indoor Bowling Club hosted an open day.
There were hundreds of visitors to the Bush Fair club.
It was also the opening for community champion, Herty’s new Afrocentric Lounge.
The leader of Harlow Council, Dan Swords popped in.

Councillor Swords said: “This weekend I had the pleasure of visiting two brilliant community events in Harlow.
“The opening of the wonderful Afrocent Lounge showcased fantastic food, culture, and energy – a real celebration of diversity and enterprise in our town.
I also joined the open day at Tye Green Indoor Bowls Club, where it was great to meet members and see the passion they have for growing the club and welcoming new players.
“Both events showed the best of Harlow’s community spirit.”
Well done Dan Swords, recognising the benefit of a diverse community. Good to see something positive in the current climate.
