HARLOW TOWN went down to a heavy defeat against league leaders Winslow United.

Goals by Ryan Freshwater (3), Harry Scott (9), George Kerr (25) and Scott Valentine (51) cemented the Buckinghamshire side’s promotion credentials.

However, this heavy defeat has Harlow far too close to the relegation zone for comfort.

We would imagine that following promotion last year, fans were hoping that the Hawks would have a crack at securing a double promotion.

The sight of Harlow Town, a club in a town with a population of 95,000, languishing so close to the relegation zone and been defeated by towns with a population of 4,000 must be starting to sound alarm bells.

Harlow Town return to league action on Tuesday night against Cockfosters.
