At ECCO, we’re proud to fund projects that help children, support families, and protect our planet. Here’s a look at some of the initiatives we’ve recently supported:

🌳 Milwards Primary Forest School Project – We helped Milwards Primary School create a Forest School, giving children a safe space to explore, learn, and play in nature. Outdoor learning builds confidence, teamwork, and environmental awareness, helping the next generation connect with and care for the world around them.

🥕 St Lukes School Allotment – Children at St Lukes Primary now grow, harvest, and enjoy fresh fruit and vegetables. This hands-on project teaches sustainable food practices, healthy eating, and responsibility, while encouraging kids to understand the importance of growing their own food.

🌱 Polytunnel Project – At St Michael’s school in Bishop’s Stortford, our funding helped create a polytunnel, allowing students to grow plants year-round. From seed to plate, children learn about sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, and the value of nature in everyday life.

🍎 Harlow Foodbank Support (£4,000) to Harlow foodbank. Our donation supports the foodbank in providing essential food supplies and guidance to individuals and families facing challenging times.

🚴 Roots To Wellbeing Bike Project (£2,000) – Providing families with access to bikes helps children get to school and parents travel to work safely. This promotes sustainable transport, healthier lifestyles, and reduced environmental impact, while breaking down barriers for families in need.

🍲 Healthy Meals at Butterfly Effect Wellbeing for Mental Health Support – Our funding helps provide weekly hot, nutritious meals to people struggling with mental health. Beyond food, these sessions build community connections, wellbeing, and social support.
