Storm Benjamin: Yellow weather warning issued for East of England

A YELLOW weather warning has been issued for parts of England, bringing estimated wind speeds of up to about 70mph (113km/h).

Storm Benjamin is expected to bring the wet and windy conditions to the East of England, as well as London, the South East, parts of the East Midlands and parts of Yorkshire.
The Met Office warning is in place, external for between 03:00 BST and 23:59 on Thursday.
Forecasters say gusts of up to 60mph (97km/h) are “probable quite widely” and speeds in excess of 70mph could develop at coastal areas.
The Met Office has said the conditions could cause longer journey times or cancellations to road, rail and air services.
It says people should also expect the chance of some damage to buildings, power cuts and a small chances of injuries from flying debris.
