Essex match officials celebrate Level 5 and 6 promotions

THE Essex County FA are pleased to announce that twelve match officials have earned promotions at the conclusion of the first quarter of the 2025/26 season.

These referees have been recognised for their dedication and continued development. A newly-released list highlights all those who have been congratulated and elevated to higher ranks as part of the latest round of Level 5 and Level 6 promotions.

Essex County FA Referee Development Manager, Lukas Wood, who operates alongside Joseph Greenleaf in the Referees Team, is delighted to announce the successful promotions, commenting: “These match officials have demonstrated their desire to progress through the refereeing levels with their positive on-field and off-field performances. A huge congratulations to each individual – we’re looking forward to continuing to support them on their journey.”

Promoted to Level 5 (Senior County Referee): Stephan Alford, Eder Benzerrouk, George Davies, Jordan Harris, Isaac Islam, Jack Mumford, Alexander Warburton, Maxwell Young.

Promoted to Level 6 (County Referee): Peter McCarthy, Maksym Ruban, Richard Willson, Ley Wilson.
