LONDON Stansted saw a bumper turnout at its autumn job fair, with nearly 2,000 jobseekers flocking to the airport for the event, the highest attendance on record.

This year’s fair had an extra buzz thanks to Emirates making its debut appearance, attracting plenty of interest from those looking for cabin crew roles.

More than 500 vacancies were on offer from leading airport employers, including Ryanair, Jet2, World Duty Free, and DHL.

As the largest single-site employer in the East of England, London Stansted already supports more than 12,000 jobs and is set to create even more through its ongoing transformation project and future growth ambitions.

Nathan Mullane, Employment and Skills Manager at London Stansted, said:

“It was fantastic to welcome almost 2,000 people to this year’s job fair. London Stansted is a key driver of growth and employment in the East of England, and the strong turnout shows the huge interest in the wide variety of careers available at the airport.”
