Happy New Year to all our readers and the very best for 2026

History / Wed 31st Dec 2025 at 05:13pm

MAY we wish you all a Happy New Year and all the very best for 2026.

We have a number of platforms, so we wish all our readers, viewers, followers, listeners, likers and however else you consume our news, the very best.

Once again, we published over 4,500 stories in 2025. We had over 5 million page views.

We would like to say Happy New Year to all our readers in the United Kingdom but also in USA, Canada, Japan, Norway,, Australia, New Zealand so many more countries. In case you wondered, we can see our global audience on Google Analytics.

We passed 21,000 followers on Facebook.

We published our 4,000th film on our youtube channel.

As we always say. In years to come, may that be 2076 or 2126, we would like to think that if someone wanted an idea of life in Harlow between 2013 and 2025, then, we think we have played our small part in creating piece of social history.

On a person note, it was the honour of a lifetime, to be invited by King Charles III to a reception a Buckingham Palace for regional media.

As you walk up the red carpet and into the Palace, you do have a little regret that your parents weren’t alive to see this. But seeing how proud my family and friends were meant more than I can say.

But, as in my visit to 10 Downing Street a few weeks later, it is all about keeping Harlow in the room.

But in case you get ahead of yourself, a good friend always says: “What’s your most popular film on your YouTube channel?” They know the answer is a Vauxhall Zafira on fire on Second Avenue! Point taken.

But also, our journalism isn’t perfect. You are always learning. But chronicling life in Harlow is hugely satisfying. Yes, there are sad stories and we reflect on those who have lost loved ones.

We must also get things in perspective. The vast majority of our stories are good news stories: From the Harlow Gymnastics Club in Sumners to the Harlow Theatre Society in Old Harlow. To the Potter Street Fete to Canalability on the Stort. Good news truly is North/East/West/South in Harlow.

But our job is also to challenge those in authority: From our MP Chris Vince, to council leader Dan Swords, our Divisional Police Commander, Jenna Mirrington-French to PAH boss Thom Lafferty.

Thank you to all our advertisers and sponsors for backing us. Without you there wouldn’t be a Your Harlow.

As we mentioned our global reach, we thought we would take some of our flags out to The Green and say happy new year to you all. See film below.

There are 32 flags in total, that we have accumulated in travels around the world. Travel can broaden the mind they say…
