Police appeal after man tries to get into woman’s car in Epping

ESSEX Police are appealing for witnesses following reports that a man tried to get into a woman’s car this morning (14 April) in Epping.
Officers were alerted to the incident in Epping New Road at just after 8.20am.
The woman reported that a man tried to open her car door and gesticulated at her.

He is described as white, aged between 30 and 40 years, and wearing a navy blue coat, jeans and a woolly hat.
A spokesperson said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries in the area. We are aware of social media reports suggesting the suspect is linked to The Bell Hotel. Through our ongoing enquiries we do not believe this to be the case.
Speculation of this kind is not helpful, we are supporting the victim and working hard to apprehend the suspect as quickly as possible

Totally agree David, just proves beyond all doubt that not all asylum seekers are sex obsessed perverts who go around assaulting local girls like this gentleman. I think it's more then likely that he did have a link to the protests and I also think it's possible that Maybe the victim was somebody who was Known to him, it just seems too coincidental for the two not to be linked and if I was in Essex police's shoes I'd ban the protests before something like this happens again or worse!. there is a marked difference between peaceful protest and public disorder and having seen videos of these protests lately I think they come under the banner of the latter, Essex police sort this out this has got absolutely out of hand and it needs stopping NOW
