Update on unauthorised traveller encampments in Harlow
The latest information on unauthorised encampments in Harlow is as follows:
Third Avenue/Three Horseshoes Road (land owned by Harlow Council):
There are 10 caravans on this land and Harlow Council is waiting for a hearing date from the county court.
Woodhill/Southern Way (land owned by Harlow Council):
There are nine caravans on this land and Harlow Council is waiting for a hearing date from the county court.
Field north of Kingsland/Abercrombie Way (land owned by Harlow Council):
There are now four caravans on this land and Harlow Council is waiting for a hearing date from the county court.
Helipad (land owned by Harlow Council):
There are three caravans on this land. Harlow Council will be serving them with a direction to leave the land on or before 10am on Monday 6 October 2014.
Third Avenue (land owned by Harlow Council):
One caravan remains on the land at Third Avenue. Seven caravans from this group have now moved to land at Pear Tree Mead/Southern Way (land owned by Harlow Council). Harlow Council will be serving them with a direction to leave the land on or before 10am on Monday 6 October 2014.
Howard Way/Second Avenue (land owned by Harlow Council):
There are four caravans on this land. Harlow Council has served them with a direction to leave the land on or before 3pm today (Friday 3 October 2014).
