FIRE CREWS tackled a fire on a 15 metres long narrow boat in the early hours of Monday morning.

On arrival at Roydon Marina, the incident commander reported that the boat was heavily smoke logged.

Wearing breathing apparatus and using one hose reel jet crews had extinguished the fire by 02:16.

An investigation will be carried out to establish the cause.
