MEMBERS of the Harlow community are being given the chance to ask questions about proposals for a new junction on the M11 at specialist public information events.

Essex County Council is proposing to create a new junction, known as 7a, in order to improve congestion and access to Harlow. It is currently asking residents for their views on the plan.

The public consultation was launched this month, with information events planned throughout June to allow inquisitive residents a chance to direct questions to experts on the subject.

The events are scheduled for:

• Friday, 3 June – St John’s Art and Recreation Centre – 2pm-8pm
• Wednesday, 8 June – Sheering Village Hall – 2pm-8pm
• Thursday, 16 June – Harlow Central Library – 1pm-6pm
• Friday, 17 June – Church of the Assumption, Old Harlow – 2pm-8pm

Andrew Cook, Director for Transport and Infrastructure, said: “This plan has been in development for many years and aims to provide Harlow with a vital road link to help promote regeneration across the area.

“I would urge residents to make use of these events and take the opportunity to ask any questions they may have about the plans.”
