CREATE something truly personal for you or a loved one with book-binding expert Diane Taylor who is running a ‘Make Your Own Journal’ session at Essex Record Office (ERO) this month.
In our increasingly digital world, traditional crafts can be a welcome escape. If you would like a break from smartphones and computers, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Today, only a few people know what it takes to make a book by hand from scratch using traditional methods.
One of those people is Diane Taylor, Senior Conservator at the Essex Record Office (ERO), who trained originally as a bookbinder.
Diane will be sharing her expertise in a ‘Make Your Own Journal’ workshop at ERO on Tuesday 21 June, where participants will be guided through the process of making an A5 journal-style book from scratch.
Places are limited and these workshops often book up fast. Please book on 033301 32500.
