Anything Goes At Harlow’s Most Unconventional Open Mic Night

Every second Wednesday, The Square hosts its fortnightly open mic night. Run by resident eccentric Love Hobbs, it’s an open mic with a difference where anyone can go along and have their 15 minutes of fame, ‘What’s different about the Square’s Open Mic is that we allow anybody to take to the stage and perform for around 15 minutes. This provides a wonderful platform for people to come and experience open mic and test out material.
It’s not just musicians, performers of any kind are welcome to join in, It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from, what you do as long as you entertain. We primarily get acoustic musicians, but have also had comedians perform open mic slots and are looking for spoken word, poetry, dancing, painting, juggling, brass bands, magic, poi, speed knitting, contortionism, short plays… anything goes!’
The bar is open from 16:00pm with the first act on at 19:30pm and the event is free for both performers and audience.
