Multi-million pound re-vamp of Town Park approved

A MULTI-MILLION pound plan to re-develop Harlow Town Park has been approved by the council.

The proposals include repair, conservation and improvement works within the park.

The application, submitted by Allen Scott Ltd, aims to restore and enhance original character and features of the park.

Work includes:

1. Construction of a new events barn at Pets Corner.

2. A new education centre where the Pets Corner aviary and hand wash area are currently located.

3. The cafe and toilet block at Spurrier House would be removed with the ground floor of the building proposed to be converted into a cafe with an adjacent terrace area for outside use.

4. New seating and information boards throughout the park and the existing bandstand is to be restored and refurbished.
