Update: Two year old in stable condition after being knocked down by ice-cream van in Northbrooks

A 22-month old boy who was injured following a collision with an ice-cream van in Harlow on Monday August 18 is recovering in hospital and his condition is now stable.

POLICE were called to Northbrooks in Harlow shortly before 5.30pm on Monday August 18 following reports of a road traffic collision involving a 22-month old boy and an ice-cream van.

Officers and ambulance paramedics attended and the injured child was taken to Princess Alexandria Hospital for treatment.

He was subsequently taken to Addenbrookes Hospital for treatement for his injuries where he remains in a critical condition.

The road was closed until 9.05pm while police carried out initial investigations at the scene.
