A HARLOW resident has questioned how Harlow Council records and investigates complaints.

Mr A Foley asked the question at a meeting of the Harlow Council cabinet.

He asked: “How many complaints are dealt with through the councils Complaints Procedure and how many are upheld.?”

Council leader, cllr Jon Clempner replied: “From August 2013 (when records began) to March 2014 there were 639 complaints of which 222 were upheld and 144 partially upheld.

Mr Foley questioned whether some form of review system could be in place but he was told this would be, on a number of levels, prohibitive.
