Sculptor Antanas Brazdys was born in Lithuania in 1939, he moved to the USA and studied in Chicago, before moving to London to work.
He was commissioned in 1982 to design the sculpture which was the centre piece in the Harvey Centre.
Some years later, when the shopping centre was renovated, the sculpture was moved to the hill opposite St Mary of Latton Church, on First Avenue.
The highly polished, stainless steel, winged sculpture reflects and distorts its surroundings.
