Update on unauthorised encampments in Harlow

Maypole/Nortel social club site at London Road (privately owned land):
There are 11 caravans in this encampment. Harlow Council is still awaiting an update from the landowner.
Westfield (land owned by Harlow Council):
There are nine caravans in this encampment. Harlow Council served the encampment with a direction to leave by 4pm on Monday 20 October 2014; as they have not done so the Council is issuing county court proceedings.
Third Avenue (land owned by Essex County Council):
The group of 11 caravans previously at Coldharbour Road have moved to land at Third Avenue adjacent to Glaxo Smithkline; this is land owned by Essex County Council.
Station Road/Priory Avenue (land owned by Essex County Council):
There are five caravans in this encampment. ECC has issued county court proceedings and a hearing date is set for Tuesday 28 October 2014.
