Hundreds attend funeral to say farewell to Peter Dangerfield

NEARLY 200 people said their final good bye to a much loved man in Harlow on Wednesday.

Peter Dangerfield 78 sadly passed away 28th October 2014 after a short illness.

Peter who was a dog trainer with Harlow and district dog training club became ill just seven weeks ago. He led a very active life attending moot house every Tuesday for over 20 years helping many owners in Harlow and beyond.

His passion for dogs continued while working for a greyhound kennels in Nazeing for 14 years.

His wife pat said “Pete was well loved by so many people,it was touching to see so many people at his funeral on Wednesday.”

“We have had so many messages and flowers from so many people it shows how popular he was.”

“We couldn’t have done any of this without Masterson Funeral home of Old Harlow, they really did an amazing service for Pete which he would have been proud of and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts.”

His son Lee Dangerfield went on to say. “Dad always had a smile on his face and he will never be forgotten, for him to still be working up to the day he was told he had cancer is truly remarkable.”

“So many people have sent us messages on how he helped so many with their dogs it has been amazing, he really was a person that helped the community”

“He will be sadly missed by so many but he will still be watching over us all.”

Thank you to everyone. The cards and donations have been amazing. As was said Mastersons funeral home really have treated the family so well in such sad times and it's down to them it went so well.
