Christmas light switch-on cancelled in Harlow Town centre

POOR weather conditions overnight have led to Harlow Council postponing the Christmas light switch-on this evening (Friday, November 14).
The lights, which were partly paid-for by local businesses, were due to be switched on in Broad Walk and Market Square this evening.
However, heavy rain and high winds meant the council were unable to put the lights up.
On Twitter, the authority said: “Due to the wet weather today’s Christmas light switch-on in the town centre has been postponed. We will advise of a new date as soon as possible.”
