THE LONG and dedicated search for Marmie the Cat is over after he was found alive and well(ish) in Surrey.

YH came across the owner, Tracie Brewster in August as she was leafleting in the Town Park as part of her quest to find her beloved cat.

Although Tracie was from Maidstone, she believed that Marmie might have been abandoned in the New Hall area of Harlow.

Many (including us) thought that poor Marmie would not be returning but last night (Tuesday) Tracie announced that her cat had been found.

Tracie made the announcement to her 3,000 friends on Facebook.

We will be speaking to Tracie later where she will no doubt thank her legion of Harlow friends who joined Tracie on a number of marches on behalf of Marmie.
