Harlow Travellers: “We just want somewhere to live”

IF THERE is one thing we haven’t done, it is to actually sit down with the Harlow Travellers and listen to their case.
So, on Sunday morning, one of our reporters, went down to the Town Park encampment to speak to Patrick O’Donovan and listen to what he had to say.
We spent about an hour down at the site and have edited down the interview to ten minutes.
Mr O’Donovan did not wish to appear on camera but instead spoke on tape in order to put his case forward.
If there was one question, we went away with, it is: “What is preventing all the bodies from getting together and trying to find a way to let them return to their site in Epping.?
“It cannot be beyond the wit of man to find a solution. If we can find a way of tearing down the Berlin Wall, then surely we can find a way of re-uniting twelve travelling families with their land in Epping?”
