Frightening attack on pensioner in his own home in Harlow

DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after an incident which took place at a residential property in Harlow.

Police were called to a house in The Briars at just before 5pm on Friday, November 28, following reports from a 78-year-old man that he had been attacked in his home.

It is understood that three men knocked on his door, assaulted him and stole items of jewellery and cash from him. He was taken to hospital for treatment for facial injuries.

Officers carried out house to house enquiries and preserved the scene for forensic checks. Descriptions of the three men are limited. All three were wearing balaclavas.
