THIS Saturday (6 December), The Harvey Centre, in Harlow, will host Mrs Santa’s Kitchen, a free workshop for children. From 10.30am to 3pm, little ones will be able to get hands-on and decorate festive treats such as candy canes and gingerbread, which they can take home for all the family. Visitors will also be able to sign up to The Harvey Centre Kids Club – receiving a free welcome goody bag and exclusive offers and discounts.
On Saturday 13 December, shoppers are invited to spot and have their picture taken with some very unusual Christmas trees. Free face painting will also be on offer.
The Harvey Centre is also host to a magical Christmas grotto. Open every day until Christmas Eve, families can step inside to meet Father Christmas and pose for a photograph (from £4.50) or receive a special gift (from £4.50). Shoppers can also take advantage of late night shopping on Thursdays (from 27 November until 18 December) as the centre stays open until 9pm (individual store times vary) – with free parking for all visitors from 3pm until 9pm.
Free seasonal entertainment will also get everyone in the festive mood – with performances by Downs Primary School (4 December) and Razed Roof (11 December), plus the Heart 4 Harlow Christmas Celebration, with choir singing, poetry and performances, on 18 December.
