HAZEL Fisher, owner of Joys Flowers, has spoken of her delight at having a christmas wreath she made hung on the door of Number 11 Downing Street.

Hazel was asked by Harlow MP, Robert Halfon, to make the wreath to hang on the door of Number 11 after being asked by George Osborne to get a wreath from Harlow. Today, Hazel, her partner and Robert Halfon visited Downing Street to see the wreath being placed upon the door of Number 11. They then had a short meeting with George Osborne, who admired the wreath, asked Hazel about her business in Harlow, and spoke about the upcoming Small Business Saturday.

Speaking after meeting George Osborne, Hazel said: “It’s lovely that a small business from Harlow has been chosen for this honour. It represents Harlow at the heart of Government, and shows the real importance and value of small businesses”.

Robert said: “I was delighted when the Chancellor asked for a wreath from Harlow for the front door of 11 Downing Street, and Hazel from Joy’s Flowers made a really beautiful and amazing wreath. I am really proud that this year there is a piece of Harlow at Number 11. Hazel made the wreath at really short notice and she is a fantastic lady”.

The wreath will remain on the front door of Number 11 until the Christmas decorations are taken down in January.
