Moot House Players set to be “Full of Joys”

Lifestyle / Mon 19th Jan 2015 at 12:24pm

ON January 29th, 30th and 31st, the years will roll back as the Moot House Players once again present “Full Of Joys”

This extraordinary and eclectic extravaganza of entertainment reaches its 30th incarnation in 2015 and is no less than a full-blown Old Time Music Hall. All your favourites are there. Lots of well-known choruses to sing – don’t worry if you don’t know them, you will get your own, your very own song sheet. There will be comedy from a very talented comedian direct from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Iberian Terpsichore from the talented and evergreen dancer, La Ratoncita, and songs, scenas and singing from a wonderful array of artistes.

A spokesperson said: “Music and melody will be provided by our fantastic pianist Mr. Joel Goodman. A melodrama, penned especially for the company by Miss Jennifer Southwell, will be performed, with a heroine to be suitably encouraged and a villainess to be booed. The whole evening will be under the watchful eye of our moustachioed host, the Music Hall chairman, Mr. Michael Branwell. A team of waiters and waitresses will be on hand to provide you with a table service, making those all important trips to the bar for you, so you don’t miss any of the great action!

All three of our performances will be dedicated to former Moot House Player & regular Music Hall performer, Ken Collins, who sadly died last month.

Tickets are priced at £8 adult, £6 concession & are available from our box office on 01279 639170. Reserve your ticket over the phone & pay on the night, it’s as simple as that. All performances start at 8pm. Please arrive 15 minutes before the performance.
