A NEW youth charity has been launched in Harlow. Harlow Youth Matters, brings together leaders, young people, the head teacher of Passmores Vic Goddard, community leaders like Mick Granger, Heart 4 Harlow Town Chaplain Robert Findlay , Suzy Stride, the Labour parliamentary candidate and many other councillors and community members.
Suzy Stride was appointed as the charity’s first Chair with local Police Officer Rob Hance appointed as Vice Chair. It is now on the way to becoming the first charity of its kind Harlow has ever had, a charity solely committed to starting up new youth initiatives and youth clubs, through support with leadership, volunteering and funding mobilisation. Already the group has seen a brand new youth night open in Harlow with plans for a further two underway.
The vision is to help bridge the gaps of the lack of provision of Youth services for young people.
Suzy Stride said; “It is fantastic that Mick Granger and Vic Goddard have brought together leaders and young people from across Harlow to help meet the needs of young people and build better youth provision to support the next generation of young people”
Mick Granger said; “We just want to do what we can to support young people in Harlow and provide the services that they need”
Anyone that would like to get involved is asked to please get in contact with the chair Suzy at [email protected]
