Woman punched in attempted robbery in Primrose Field

A robber punched a driver and attempted to steal her mobile phone.

The 30-year-old woman, who is from Harlow, was sitting in her parked car in Primrose Field, Harlow, at 11.15am on Friday, September 4 when she was approached by two men.

The passenger door was open and one of the suspects leaned into the vehicle and tried to grab her phone from inside the car.

The victim then grabbed the phone and the man punched her in the head, spat in her face and punched her again.

She suffered swelling to her left eyebrow.

The suspects ran away in the direction of Primrose Field flats, towards Southern Way.

The victim described the man who punched her as Asian, aged about 20 years old and 5ft 6ins tall.

He was slim, had short black hair and wore a cream Burberry cap.

The second man was described as black, 5ft 9ins tall, slim and he had black hair.

Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to call Harlow CID on 101.
