Kidd Caru to open its doors to parents

Lifestyle / Wed 6th Apr 2016 pm30 12:39pm

KIDDI Caru’s Harlow day nursery will be opening its doors to parents on Saturday 16th April and inviting them to experience the nursery’s varied activities – including Music & Movement, sensory playdough and ‘cooking’ in its outdoor mud kitchen – first hand.

While it is usually the children who get to have all the fun, parents are being invited in to see what happens behind the scenes at the nursery on a normal day and join in. Other activities they will be able to try following the theme of ‘learning through play’ include mark making with chalks, planting cress, treasure basket play and ICT using desktop and tablet computers.

In the garden there will be mark making in water and bikes as well as the opportunity to get messy in the mud kitchen. The nursery’s unique sensory lodge will also be open for visitors to explore.

In addition, parents and children attending will be treated to a meal of sweet potato and chickpea curry followed by lemon muffins, all freshly prepared by Kiddi Caru’s on site chef.

Vania Farinha, Nursery Manager, said: “Our door is always open to parents but we like to have special days throughout the year when they can come in and get a real feel for what their child does day to day here. Our Experience Days give parents an insight into our typical day so that they can then discuss different activities with their child at home and feel more included. Prospective parents are also welcome to come and join in the fun.”
