Changes to Harlow bus timetables

Communities / Thu 7th Apr 2016 am30 11:30am

FOLLOWING a review and feedback from customers, changes to Arriva’s bus timetables in Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford and the Stansted area will be introduced on Sunday, April 10.

One of the key changes will see an improved service to Stansted Airport with buses running from Harlow every 10 minutes and every 30 minutes on each of the three routes between Bishop’s Stortford and the airport. Additionally, the 510 Sunday service between Harlow and the Airport will be doubled to run every 30 minutes.

Frequencies have changed in a number of areas and in some cases, poorly-used sections of route will no longer be served.

Richard Lewis, marketing manager for Arriva, said: “It is vital to review services regularly to enable us to match demand as closely as possible – which is why these changes are being introduced. Overall, the changes are intended to provide a more reliable service for passengers.

“There are also changes to some bus numbers so we would advise checking our website or picking up a leaflet to double check the service in your area.”

The routes affected cover Harlow Town Centre, Staple Tye, Sumners, Katherines, Bush Fair, Latton Bush, Little Parndon, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Pinnacles, Church Langley, Old Harlow, Mark Hall South, Churchgate Street, First Avenue, Harlow Rail Station, The Roddings, Hatfield Heath, Chelmsford, Bishop’s Stortford, Saffron Walden, Bishop’s Gate, Thorley Park and Takeley.

A full list of the changes can be found at www.arrivabus.co.uk/south-east/updates/changes-to-harlow-bishops-stortford-and-stansted-area-services-from-10th-april-2016. Alternatively, leaflets are now available at the Harlow Bus Station and other local outlets or by calling 0344 800 4411.
